We were just like having a great time on our 2nd day of our Negros Oriental trip - the dolphin close encounter with some sightings of dwarf sperm whale and pilot whale plus a quick coral-reef sanctuary dive - almost completed our day, then all of a sudden a group of tourist just gave us an experience that is way beyond a normal educated people can act.
It was 11:30 in the morning when they started talking about me. I was just sitting on the sand beside our boat playing with 'my starfish'. I was alone then because Teng, Greg and Alex decided to rest for a while since our day activities were very tiring. They were a group of almost 10 people I think. 4 girls (2 girls are in early 30s or late 20s and 2 others were in 40s), 6 boys (2 in 20s, 2 in 50s and 2 in 30s).
Girl 1: Grabe, tignan mo sya. Nagpunta lang sya dito para magmukmok.
Girl 2: She's such a loser. She seems loner.
Girl 3: Ay oo nga. At teh, tignan mo ang attire. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I didn't mind them then because its not worth giving a shit . Then they came closer to me after they ate their lunch. They were still talking about me. The voice is so loud that every detail is so clear to me.
Girl 1: Nakakatawa talaga sya, leggings kung leggings with matching longsleeves while in the beach!
Girl 2: Teh, baka kasi gumagastos yan ng mahal para magpagluta.
Girl 3: Hiyang-hiya naman kami sayo teh. Nakakahiya naman sa araw oh.
Girl 4: Nakakahiya teh. Ako okay lang umitim, basta masaya ako.
Although, its true that I don't wanna get darker but its not the reason why I am wearing a suit. Also, I don't feel like wearing a bikini at that point. Its freaking 12noon for god's sake. The sun is so high and besides its not healthy to sun bathe at that time of the day! My skin would burn like hell and I don't want that feeling. Yet, still I didn't mind them.
Then we ate our lunch. After lunch, I decided to dip again in the water because I was wearing suit and its still wet so I feel cold everytime the wind blows. Taking a dip would help me warm a bit. Teng joined me this time and I told about the things that I have heard. Teng just said: "Don't mind them." After that, we decided to take picture of the place because its becoming low tide and the sand bar is starting to come up. Then again, they started talking:
Girl 3: Ayan na, naglabas na ng DSLR. Ay....Nikon din! Ay, kaso.... parang yung DSLR para namang cheap. D50 lang oh! LOL!
After Teng heard that, he just turned mad. And immediately approached the girls. He didn't mention what model of camera he is holding but definitely its not D50 these girls are talking about. Its not the reason why he suddenly blew-up. The voice of the girl is just so loud that everyone there can hear. And to us, there's no sense of talking about the model of camera, so what if its D50 anyway. The attitude of this group sucks!
Teng: Excuse me? Anong sabi mo?Then a moment of silence.
Girl 3: Sabi ko parehas tayo ng camera.
Teng: NO. Its not what you just said. I heard it. Anong ginagawa namin sa inyo? Anong problema nyo?
Girl 3: Wala naman akong sinasabi eh.
Kim: No, we heard you. And I heard all of you even a while ago, even from afar. You girls are talking about me being scared of getting maitim just because I am wearing this. FYI girls, this is not just a leggings and a longsleeve. This is a diver's suit. I just came from a dive that's why I am wearing this.
Boy 1: Pasensya na po sir, ma'am. Pasensya na po.
Teng: Ano bang problema nyo? Wala naman kami ginagawa sa inyo?!
Boy 2: Sorry sir, pasensya na po talaga.
Teng: So what? You just talk shit about people just for nothing, and then when we heard it, you're just going to dip your head in the water like you dont have a face at all? What?!
The group remained speechless for 10minutes. I decided to get 'my starfish' beside the boat. Our tour guide which is from DOT came near to us and asked, "Ano pong problema?". They didn't answer. Then I came with 10 starfish, 9 blues, 1 spotted.
Boy 3: Wow, ang ganda naman po nyan, san nyo po nakuha?
Kim: These came from coral reef dive. I got them under the water.
Boy 3: Ah, so that's why they are colorful.
Tour Guide: Yeah, you can only actually see them near the corals. This type of starfish usually blends with them so you have to dive to see one.
Boy 3: Oh, pasensya na po talaga a. Can I take them a picture?
Kim: Yeah sure go ahead.
Boy 3: Thank you. Sorry talaga ah. Pasensya na.
Teng: Please tell your friends to be very careful talking about people whom they do not know. We're not doing anything bad to your group.
The girls remained speechless until we left the place.
Take it easy, Kim. Yeah, it's difficult but just remember how small their minds are in talking bad about people. :) Pero makagatong lang, I don't think they're crazy, they're morons. Poor them. Wahaha!
ReplyDeleteHello Ate Criselda! HAHAHAHAHAHA! :) Naawa na nga lang din ako sa kanila dahil ganon ugali nila. Siguro nga tayo dapat umintindi since tayo nakakataas ng thinking level sa kanila. LOL! =)
